During Try Fortnight we show anime movies to give people a taste of what a usual showing is like, and so there is more time to get to know both us and each other. Hopefully you’ll enjoy what we have on offer, because we’ve aimed to select a broad range of choices to appeal to all of you.

Access to the Darwin building is through the passage between the Science (DMS Watson) Library and Malet Place Engineering, and from there the Biochem LT is downstairs and to your left as you exit the stairs.
The Garwood LT is on the first (not ground) floor of the South Wing.

Gaming Session
The usual here, come and chill, relax, meet some freshers, play some games, eat some cake. We definitely have a PS3, and hopefully I can acquire another PS3, a X360 and a Wii.
Saturday 15th October, 11am Meet @Quad
Tea & Dessert Shop Crawl
Pub crawls are stereotypical. Break the mould. Do the impossible, see the invisible. Come with us on a journey through London in the form of delicious tea and delicious cake. You must eat it.
Pearson G17 is in the north-west corner of the Main Quad, so to the left of the main entrance and in the corner.
Other events coming in this term include karaoke, more gaming sessions, ice skating, and probably airsoft! Also, if there is enough demand, we might do a manga/drawing session and similarly a cosplay session.
Other Bits
Returning students can join the society now! If you were a member from last year and wish to stay on the mailing list. New students can’t join until 17th October, but don’t worry, because I won’t be sorting out the list for a while, so you’ll have plenty of chance and reminders.
We are looking for a both a new secretary and a new events officer! Drop me an email with your name if you’re interested and free enough, and the EGM for electing the new officers will likely take place around the start of November (after join fortnight).
Also, we need your feedback! To avoid drab showings with poor attendance, or complaints over show choice, I’m looking for suggestions of genres of shows you would want to watch. This can be anything broad such as “action” down to more niche genres such as “parody of everything, including self”. Don’t be shy, you’d be helping us out a lot!
